NADA Policies and Procedures
1. DRESS CODE
A. All students are required to adhere to the dress code. There are no exceptions.
B. Wear hair pulled back, secured off the face. Hair must be in a bun for ALL ballet, character and modern classes.
C. Shoes and apparel appropriate to class are required (refer to NADA Dress Code).
D. No jewelry of any kind in class other than stud earrings.
E. Students must put their names on all dancewear and shoes.
A. Students are expected to maintain low voices in the waiting areas, dressing room, and restrooms. No talking is allowed in class except for inquiries to the teacher. A teacher may remove a student or ask him/her to sit out the remainder of the class for misbehavior.
B. Students must maintain a respectful attitude toward teachers, parents and fellow students at all times.
C. Students may not eat or chew gum in class. No food or drinks are allowed in the classrooms! Students may bring water in non-breakable, sealed bottles.
D. Students should not bring any valuables to the school. The school is not responsible or liable for any lost or stolen items.
E. Students should not wear dance shoes outside the studio, and should only wear dance clothing outside the studio with some type of cover-up.
3. ATTENDANCE & MAKE-UP CLASSES
A. Students are expected to attend all classes for which they are enrolled.
B. Prior to any absence, it is your responsibility to notify the school.
C. Any missed class may be made up in the same or lower level. No refunds or credits are given for missed classes, family trips or vacations during the school year, or for closings due to inclement weather.
D. Tardy students may only be admitted by consent of the instructor. Students later than fifteen (15) minutes from the start time of class may be asked to sit and observe the remainder of class.
4. MINIMUM CLASS SIZE
Six active students consistently constitute a class. Fewer students may result in a schedule change or cancellation.
5. ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION
Photos, videos, film, or audio recordings taken during a NADA participating event becomes the property of NADA. NADA reserves the right to use any of those items for marketing and publicity purposes. Your signature on the registration form indicates your understanding and acceptance of this policy.
Tuition is for the entire school year. Monthly tuition is pro-rated over 9½ months and calculated on actual weeks of instruction. Payments are due by the 10th of each month. Statements are sent only when your account is past due. Special statements are sent in November, January and April to remind you of costume charges and recital fees.
7. NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL
You are responsible for payment of all classes your student/s are enrolled in until we are notified in writing at least thirty days (30) in advance of withdrawal. Missed lessons cannot be used in place of payment.
